Dads Vs World Records – a quick brag from a tired dad

Hello everyone! I’m exhausted.

We’ve just made it home after a big day putting on the very first Dad Day Out event! 7 hardworking and sweaty dads battled the wind, and then the sun, to help a bunch of very cool parents and kids take part in some very silly record attempts.

Dads Vs World Records was a great success thanks to the wonderful folk of Frankston (& other areas of Melbourne) and some very special people. I’m too buggered to write up a proper post about our brill day, but I did want to give a shout out to the key peeps who made today happen:

Awesome Dads:
Dom, Darcy, Darren & Dan. There’s also Howie, Bernie & Trev, but they don’t alliterate. You are the best bunch of Awesome Dads a stressed out and manic dad-tivity organiser could ask for!!! Thank you for kickin’ ay-ss.

Frankston Toy Library:
Sandi saw potential in a random dad who asked for free stuff and all of the support I could muster. Thank you for bringing us dads under the wing of the Toy Library! Nikki & Shirley worked like troopers so that we could dominate as much space as possible. Brilliant ladies all, who made today possible. Thank you!!

Jo from Kites For Kids:
A big thank you for your kind words of encouragement, for the streamers, and for being a very wonderful booth-neighbour!

Who makes their pregnant wife work late-night hours in slave labour? I do! A very special thank you to my spunk-tacular lady for not only supporting me when I do really silly things like this, but for also doing all of the prize wrapping, into the wee hours.

I’ll be back soon to give you all an insight into the crazy fun that was had at Dads Vs World Records! Here’s a sneak peek:
